beloFX is delighted to welcome Paul Franklin as our Creative Director. 

A two-time Academy Award® winning VFX Supervisor and filmmaker, Paul brings a remarkable 35-year career in visual effects, where his visionary approach and technical expertise have made him a trusted creative partner to some of Hollywood’s most celebrated directors. 

For over a decade, Paul worked with Christopher Nolan, designing and supervising the visual effects for Inception and Interstellar, for which he won Oscars® in 2011 and 2015. He also supervised visual effects for all three films in Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy. Paul’s other credits include Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Venom.

Paul joins beloFX after 26 years at DNEG, a company he co-founded in 1998. Now, he’s reuniting with his former co-founders Matt Holben and Alex Hope at beloFX, where his leadership will help shape an exciting new chapter for the team. 

As Creative Director, Paul will play a key role in shaping new opportunities for collaboration with directors, filmmakers and beloFX’s studio clients. Additionally, he will provide creative guidance and support for all shows and their teams.
